When Plain Bubble Wrap Is Not Enough
Plain bubble film is the right answer for most packing benches. But some loads ask for more: a pallet that will be handled half a dozen times, a container crossing a humid port, a surface that has to be shielded as well as cushioned. Bubble film on its own can tear, and it offers little resistance to moisture or heat.
Laminating the bubble layer to a second facing changes that. The bubbles still do the cushioning, while the laminated face takes the abrasion and handling, holds the roll together under tension, and adds a barrier the plain film does not have. The result is a roll that behaves like bubble wrap on the inside and a tougher wrapping material on the outside.
