Thin PE foam underlay laid using the floating-floor technique, for wooden and laminate flooring. 1, 2 and 3 mm, in rolls 1 m wide and 100 m long. It stops the drum sound, blocks heat and cold transfer, and does not absorb water. Made in Dammam.
A Wooden Floor Is Only as Quiet as What Is Under It
A floating wooden or laminate floor sits on the slab rather than being fixed to it. That is what makes it quick to install — and it is also why it echoes. Without a layer in between, every footstep sets the boards vibrating against the subfloor, and the room picks up the hollow knock people call drum sound.
Our parquet underlay is the layer in between. A thin sheet of PE foam absorbs that vibration so footsteps sound solid instead of hollow, while also stopping heat and cold moving through the floor. It does not absorb water, it is non-poisonous, and it is chemical resistant — so it stays stable under the boards for the life of the floor.
